Poll Results Reveal Research is most helpful to COPD Patients
Where have you found the most helpful information regarding Emphysema and COPD? That was the question that National Emphysema Foundation posed in its most recent online poll.
At the top of the list, with 54.1% of the votes, was research, followed by doctors with 18%, other emphysema patients with 16.4% and other avenues of information with 11.5%.
For information on recent research studies, look to trusted medical journals such as Chest, and The Respiratory Medicine Journal. Further, websites like MedScape are a good source of information as they compile research studies from all areas of medicine. In addition, look back to the National Emphysema Foundation website each month, as we will continue to post the most recent research studies to keep you abreast of changes and breakthroughs in the treatment and diagnosis of Emphysema and COPD.
